Obsidian Tears

When I close My eyes, it's his face that I see.
When I stand alone, it is the Moon who quietly
Looks Down into My darksome eyes
And assures Me again that Love is no lie.
If anyone else could be so near,
The empty ocean, in My heart would they hear.
I clench My fists, nails marring My skin,
And pray, that the dreams don't come, again.
Alone, in the dark, unwanted and unloved.
he looks, but can't find Me; the One that he loves.
he walks past My tears, My love and My pain.
he walks past My dreams, as he calls out My name.
I love him, as I've loved him, forever and a day.
I love him and will love him, if only he'll stay.
I remember everyone who's been in My life.
I remember all those who've left, and taken My light.
But now here he is, from across the big sea.
But now here he is and he's married Me!
