DOMINATION is the art of Mastering a slave.

submission is the art of serving a Master/Mistress.

Please do not mistake D/s for BDSM. Bondage, Discipline, and Sado-Masochism are to the D/s Lifestyle as fractions are to mathematics. As One uses fractions as a matter of practicing mathematics, One does not need fractions in order TO practice mathematics. Fractions are but one component of the language and practice of mathematics. This area, The Realm of Eld®, is provided as a means for understanding the dynamics of D/s and its various components, as they relate to the generation of energies in Magick, Majik, Majic, Magik or however you wish to spell it. All these various forms mean the same thing, they are merely different cultures' expressions of the need to find another label for the forces of Nature than "magic," a word which means trickery and/or illusion.

While on the surface, many believe the Dominant to be in control of any and all situations within the world of D/s, it is truly the submissive who is in control. Through the use of safe-words, guidelines, and firmly set rules, the submissive controls what he/she will allow him/herself to to in the attempt to please the Dom/me. Most submissives will claim they "have no limits," but I have discovered this is utter tripe. ALL submissives have limits. The job of the Dom/me is to find those limits and slowly, carefully, lovingly, push them back in order to assist the sub in achieving a higher state of self.

My one came to Me, already broken, suffering from being left that way for so long. Wwe have worked together, slowly, over a year, to rebuild his confidence and self-esteem. slaves (submissives) are typically stripped of these endowments and further broken through humiliation and degradation.

The rebuilding of the slave is done typically through pain training, discipline and servitude training (the finer art of formal serving of one's Mistress/Master). Through the successful accomplishment of these training curriculum, followed up with a firmly established reward/punishment program, the slave begins winning a meager portion of their self worth, which in time, will slowly and soundly rebuild them into a proud (but not arrogant) adult who is both focused and motivated

The focus comes through techniques such as clamps and other pain training medium being applied while the slave is told that he/she MUST concentrate on a movie playing, or a book they are reading, a conversation they are having, or a meditation. Testing the slave concerning what they are watching/reading periodically, insures the level of concentration being applied by the submissive.

Small rewards should be given when the Dominant sees the slave is trying very hard, even when success in the given task is not eminent. Success will come, as long as the slave applies him/herself. Encouragement and nurturing of the slave is the quintessence of success.

The motivation is simply one of pleasing the Dominant; making Them proud of the slave. Your slave will succeed in areas of management, due to organizational and "people" skills he/she develops while taking care of the Master/Mistress's Personal business, going to the store, running errands, and keeping the house together.

Trained slaves should have full run of the house and its contents, and should be trained and practiced at attending the needs, including the business needs, of the Dominant. slaves should act as full-charge butlers (for Tthose of Yyou who are familiar with such practices), attending the needs of the house, the running of the house and all activities within and without, and shoudl therefore be trained [as formally as possible] in servitude and service of his/her Dom/me.

slaves should also act as the groundskeepers. If Your slave works an outside job, perhaps You should consider allowing Your one to remain at home, to attend the running of Your affairs. This works extremely well for Me, but if you are not in a position to be able to allow this, then other means and methods can be applied.

It is sometimes necessary to send Your slave out to work. I've known Dom/mes who have several slaves for this purpose. I, Personally, do not view this practice with a kind Eye. I feel that the Dominant Who keeps several slaves for the purpose of financial gain is beneath contempt and should be publicly beaten by Their own slaves. But, to Eeach Hhis own.

As Dominants, We are teachers, Instructors, Nurturers and Givers. We work tirelessly to live up to the expectations and the needs of the submissive under Our care. Those who do not, are not worth the title "Dom/me."

The slave should receive nothing but the best of what their One has to offer, as We expect nothing but the best the slave can do for Us, in return. It MUST be a two-way street, or the Dom/me has lost touch and possibly needs a bit of re-training Him/Herself.

Pain is love. In love, We administer pain, punishment, humiliation, degradation and the careful rebuilding-restructuring-of Our one. Sadism is NOT a word to hide behind. It is NO excuse for administering these practices without love being a strong factor in the dynamics of the relationship, else it becomes a very dangerous undertaking with little or no restrictions or safe-guards in place.
