Astral Projection/Travel :.

I have heretofore chosen not to author a page concerning Astral travel, projection and the dimensions/planes due to the theoretical "geniuses" out there who talk and talk about nothing else. However, I have finally decided to simply overlook them and relate it, as it is an integral part of a Magick User's spiritual growth. This is intended to get you started. I expect everyone who is diligent to experiment on their own and by doing so, to discover their own planes of reality.

  • Dragons and Shadow are both races/peoples of Dreams. They come to us in our dreams, impart their wisdoms/warnings and they are gone. Only a few can actually converse with these Beings while awake. It takes LOTS and LOTS of practice. At any rate, when we dream, we are in "alpha" state. Alpha is synonomous with "Astral." We can see and go places we usually can't while our conscious minds are "running." This is what enables us to astrally "travel;" being in a state in which our subconscious minds are in control and our skeptical, dogma-filled conscious minds are dormant.


  • That is the first, most primal way to "travel" or project on an Astral level.

  • The second way is to study and learn, practice and have patience. There are sigils for each doorway leading to each of the twelve realms. There is another realm; that of the God/desses, to which we do not have access to travel except by permission during a Ritual Ceremony. *soft laugh* Could you imagine the mayhem if we could just go there whenever we wanted?


  • The sigils are drawn in the air, upon the ground, on a wall, the floor, whatever. Just make sure the sigil is erasable, and not drawn directly on paper or made permanent, as it will create a portal through which other things, Beings, not meant to travel here, may pass.

    Concentrate upon the Realm to which you wish to travel, as you fall asleep. Ask the question of yourself and in so doing, ask the Deities of that Realm for the sigil for the Realm Gate. When you awaken, you should have the mark in your head.

    These sigils are different, from place to place, as new coordinates are entered into the equation, different sigils become necessary. Even the smallest move will change these factors, and therefore the sigil as well.

  • Technique
  • The Lighter Than Air Method

    Lie back, preferably in warm water where possible, and send a soft cushion of your energies beneath you. Slowly "inflate" the cushion with more and more of your energies until you no longer can feel your body on the matress or the water against your skin. Sleep masks work wonders when doing this.

    When you reach that point, you are at the beginning of Stage 2.

    Continue to feed your energies until you feel yourself rise off the surface of the bed/out of the tub. Do not panic, or freak. *soft laugh* That will send you literally crashing back down. Now, before You leave the place where you are, drop down a white thread and trail it along as you travel. It is fixed and you cannot pull it out of where you started. Tell yourself that. This is how you will find your way back, so don't worry. Just float. you know your city. You can now go wherever you wish. Go take in a movie. "Drop in" on friends, leave your current plane of existence and visit the other Realms...whatever you wish.

    When you are ready to return (Stage 3), simply follow your thread back to your body, and settle your essence back down upon your self (Stage 4). Remember to tell yourself to consciously BREATHE when you do this, and vois las! You have travelled and returned.

  • Stricture
  • You are only limited by your imagination. You can astrally "travel" to Any and All of the Great Realms, the Lesser Realms; any dimension, any plane, any WHEN and any WHERE. Time and space mean nothing when you are "astral."
