Intro/Rant


I hate to start this section out like this, but I do find it necessary. And, since a Witch who doesn't listen to Her own "little voice," is about the most worthless waste of skin alive, I'm obeying My instincts.

For centuries, Magick and the laws governing it have been left to the priests and priestesses of the "craft;" their secrets heavily guarded and highly prized. I have made no mention, until now, of the grief and heartache caused Me by those who would not have Me share the knowledge and ancient wisdoms of Magick. But there are those out there among you who would silence Me. I have been hacked, more times than I can count, My site's been taken offline EIGHT times [hence, the move to 50megs.com with a PAID account so they will notify Me BEFORE stupid bullsh*t can commence] AND I've had to replace My equipment FOUR times [!]; once at the hands of My own brother who helped another to hit My computer! All because I refuse to be cowed into silence. I will NOT be silent! I WILL deliver the full and complete truth to any and ALL who come here to seek it. EVERYONE has the right to this knowledge! OUTSIDE A COVEN SETTING, NO one person, NOR COUNCIL of wannabe Elders has the right to sit and dictate who is and who is not "worthy" of arcane knowledge. (Most of which was judged by who would and who would not participate in "cyber-sex" with those who sat on the council, by the way.) So do Your worst. You already have, I think. And you've been found sadly lacking. I'm still here and I will continue to BE here.


The Arcane Secrets


There are Magickal assignments for everything; every spell, every Magickal craft, every rite, every...thing.

In the Western Hemisphere, above the Equator, the spring and summer months, belong to the Goddess while the autumn and winter months belong to the God. The Goddess is the Moon, while the God is the Sun. Therefore it can easily be deduced that the spells falling under the domain of the Goddess should be performed during lunar hours, during Goddess months, and those falling under he domain of the God should be done during the day and within those months governed by Him. Are we, as Magick Users limited to these rules? No, of course not. I'm here to assist you in your quest for knowledge, not dictate anything at all about you or your style of Magick. These charts and tables are of My own creation based on what I have learned through years of study and practice. Use them as you would any other Magickal tool.

There are Masculine(God) and Feminine(Goddess) assignments to everything; the planets, the hours, the days, herbs, colors, stones, and on and on. You will find, if you do stick to this basic, that your workings are cleaner, clearer and more focused; therefore ... stronger.

Days and Their Ruling Planets

SUNDAY= Sun.
MONDAY= Moon.
TUESDAY= Mars.
WEDNESDAY= Mercury.
THURSDAY= Jupiter.
FRIDAY= Venus.
SATURDAY= Saturn.

Days and Their Appropriate Colors

You can use these for your ritual robes,
daily clothing, daily altar decorations, etc.

SUNDAY= yellow/gold.
MONDAY= white/silver.
TUESDAY= red.
WEDNESDAY= purples.
THURSDAY= green.
FRIDAY= blues.
SATURDAY= black/grey.

I have found, also, that while intimate knowledge of the language of Latin is not necessary, it is quite helpful, to say the least. Spells and word magick are even more effective when spoken in Latin. I do not know how or why it helps, and I won't speculate. I've done that enough on My own, and after 20 years of it, I still have no sure reason; only theory which I won't bore you with, here.

While your magickal timing is necessary and important, remember that you CAN do any spell at any time, regardless 0of the planetary alignments, the day of the week, the time of day and/or the time of the year. The phases of the moon should always be observed; however. And although I have successfully done blocking magick during the waxing moon and growth magick during the waning moon, I do freely tell you the results were only fractional, compared to the results I would consider "typical" to Me.

Planetary Hours

Ok. There is a LOT of controversy among the Magick Users I know who have practiced for years, concerning the Ritual Hours; when they begin and where they end. I and My husband use the same system we developed, independently without the help of the other. I have listed it below, along with the more widely accepted chartings. Let us know what you learn.

There is a table for both night-time and day-light hours. The number beside the hours is not the time. It is the number of hour after sundown or sunrise. The lunar hours are shorter in the summer as the solar hours are shorter in the winter. Find out the exact time of sunset/moonrise and sunrise/moonset and then divide the hours by 12 to find the true length of the "hours." This gives the number of minutes for each hour, the first of course, beginning at sunset, or sunrise depending on which table you're using.

Using this table, you...

  • choose the type of spell
  • determine which planet rules/governs it
  • determine which hour is also ruled by that planet
  • calculate the appropriate time by using the method described above
  • determine the proper phase of the moon for your spell
    waxing=growth and bringing to you
    waning=loss and sending away from you.
