Well. Most of you are saying, by now, "Yeah. Right. No tools. She's daft!" Aaaaand, that may be so.
However. Try using these "natural" substitutions in your next ritual, spell working, or rite.
altar=the bare back/belly of your mate.
bell=the voice of you or your mate, clapping your hands, conducting the proper intonations, etc.
wand=your own finger
athame=your fingernails
herbs=in the beginning of your advanced training, have a bowl of the fresh herb you intend to use, but do NOT use the herb itself. Instead,
call the power/essence of the herb to lend itself into your working. after a time, it
will no longer be necessary to have the herb present. you will grow familiar with the
essence of each herb you commonly use, and will be adept enough at calling that essence
to you that it will preclude the physical presence of the herb[s] all together.
candles=I still use candles, Myself. [LOL] It was tooools that I was speaking of. *s*
ritual jewelry=unless you are a Priest/ess wrap your hair or dedicate a certain part of your actual body to the type
of ritual in which you would normally use the jewelry.
incense burner/censer=a bare spot of ground or a small bowl of dirt.
ritual robes=go skyclad (nude)
candle holders=again, a bare spot of ground or a small bowl of dirt will suffice very nicely.
broom=fallen tree branch or bare hand (use your receiving hand to remove unwanted energies and your power hand to replace the area with your positive energies. Don't forget to
dispel the unwanted energies from yourself before proceeding afterwards.)
cauldron=a small indention made in the ground, the flat spot of your mate's belly or back, your cupped hand, etc.
bolline=again, your fingernails.
crystal sphere=this requires practice, but I can now close My eyes and scry without physically "looking" into anything.
crystal balls and the like are meant as focal points for the would-be prophet. some
actually "see" within their focal point, but more often than not, the "seeing" being done
is within the mind rather than the sphere. the trick is to be adept at determining quickly
and efficiently which "sights" are prophetic and which are pure imagination. one of the
checkpoints most sites and/or literary works fail to give you is that if it is a
thought or an ideal which is totally alien to you, the chances are, it's not just your
imagination.
chalice/cup=your cupped hand
pentacle=drawn in the earth or with your fingernail over the part of your mate's body which is serving as the altar.
