Let Me first say that
bloodletting and/or Blood Magicks is a personal choice; a lifestyle choice. There are many
groups who practice open Blood Magicks. I do not lead such a group. I do not participate
in, nor condone (with all the world's diseases) such activities. Bloodletting is NOT something
we practice as a group or even closed intimate rites involving other people. I partake in
the letting of blood with My one chosen sexual partner, and NO ONE else. I do not condone
free blood use for ANY reason. There are frankly too many things in the world which not
only can, but will, kill you.
That having been said there is a strong view within the Wiccan Community at large, that the letting of blood within a sacred circle is a bad thing.
My practices stem from a base which is Wiccan, yes; however, I do not agree with many points contained within the tenents of belief in most Traditions.
I must also say here that there are some Magicks against which there IS no defense, save for Blood Magick of some kind.
Some spells absolutely call for the use of the victim's or petitioner's blood. But...BE WARNED!
BLOOD :.
There is power in the blood. It is a living thing which carries both Oour body and Oour spirit.
It is NEVER to be used lightly, wastefully, nor irresponsibly. Remember what I keep saying, poppets...

BLOODLETTING :.
The practice
of bloodletting is greatly exaggerated in most texts I've come across. When I speak of "bloodletting," it almost ALWAYS refers to a few DROPS of blood, at most.
The only time I've let more blood than that for a sacred item or rite, has been in My Grimoire, and the writing of it. Some of its pages are written in My own blood.
BLOOD MAGICK :.
Though Blood Magicks are generally considered to be of the Dark Arts, that is not always the case. Some very powerful Sex Magick can be done while the Ffemale is
on Hher cycle. It seals the spell/rite with such power as Oone can scarcely imagine. The blood, as in all other spell components, must carry with it Yyour desire/intense need, also known as Yyour quickening energies.
It must therefore be charged.
