It's Nothing Personal.

"It's nothing personal," they always say when they've done something to hurt you. I can't help but think..."I'm a Person. What else is it, if it's not personal?" It's personal, and I take it as such. I always have, and I suppose I always will.

"It's God's will." No, it's NOT "gods' will," it's FREE WILL, a priviledge we, as human beings, have the choice to exercise...or not. And by choosing NOT to exercise that priviledge, is YOUR free will...so by doing nothing, you've made a choice.

"It's fate." Wow. What a cop-out. Fate. Right. Personally, I don't believe in fate. Is it MEANT for people to be born with handicaps? infirmities? Did some deity sit in judgement of our souls before we were ever born and predetermine our parents? our siblings? our interactions and relationships with them? If so, then why are we trying to "get along?" If something or someone sits above and says...this 16 year old is to die in a car crash with a drunk driver on this night, on this road, at this time...or...this 2 year old is to drown in a mop bucket of filthy mop water while kicking and fighting for his life while his mentally challenged mother looks the other way...or...this 7 year old is to die at the hands of his own mother because of schitzophrenia (hearing voices that weren't gods' voices)...then why the F*CK bother?? It's fate for horrible and horrendous things to happen to someone systematically throughout their life? It's MEANT that rape and incest and forced servitude...war and incurable disease, and pain and suffering should happen? What about the personal and intimate tragedies that we suffer as a whole? Is there some deity?...some force...sitting in judgement of us? Is there some power that be, sitting on his/her throne, delegating pain and disaster to us one at a time? Yet...it's nothing personal...right?

Fate is not real. It's a crutch we lean on just like the Xtians and their pathetic platitudes like..."It's god's will."

What happens to us is nothing more, but nothing less, than FREE WILL. The choices we make, and the choices made by those who cross our paths, is what determines what happens to and with us. For every action, there is an equal (or sometimes greater) and opposite reaction. For every debit there must be a credit to balance the scales, otherwise it wouldn't be "fair." But...riiiight. No one said life was fair. And anyone who believes it is, needs some serious time in line waiting to cash their reality check.

Fate is nothing more than a human invention, brought about to make us feel less responsible about what's happening to and with us.

Free Will and Fate can NOT co-exist in the same plane. If you can CHANGE it...by the use of Free Will...then HOW is it Fate?? Fate is a predetermined path or course. If you can change that...then it's not predetermined at all and therefore does not exist.

The choices we make, as human beings, is what makes us who and what we are. NOT some fallacy, such as Fate.

So don't say..."It's nothing personal." Of COURSE it's personal. We are people! WHAT IS IT, if it's not personal? "It's just business," some would say...as they yank the rug out from under some small business owner in order to further their own pursuits. But to that small business owner, it's nothing BUT personal; the food from their table, their children's education, the nest egg they depended upon for comfort in their old age.

Regardless of what they say...it's always personal...to someone.
