Official DragonFyre Weyr, Inc. Rites

DFW, Inc. Elevation Rites
  • Fealtation

    • Fealtant-level "0"

Fealtants are required to sign a Covenant with DragonFyre Weyr™, but will not be dedicated until they have earned that priviledge. A pledge or beginner who is not yet initiated into the Weyr™. A Fealtant is one who has associated him/herself with the Weyr™ and is studying hard, learning all that he/she can prior to their "Year and a Day" requirement. This rank will be held for as long as it takes until the Fealtant is dedicated and committed enough to begin this trek. Fealtants are responsible for helping set up and take down event/Rite areas. They are working to demonstrate their dedication to the Coven and the Ancient Ones. Fealtants also have to decide during their Fealtation period whether or not they believe our Coven is right for them, as we make the determination whether or not the Fealtant is right for the Coven. Fealtants do not participate in Rite, but may observe in an acquainting/educational capacity.

  • Dedication

    • Dedicant-level "0.5"

A Fealtant who has begun his/her "Year and a Day" required study and service to the Weyr™. Dedicants are responsible for the gentle overseeing of the Fealtants, making sure all necessary supplies and items are in their proper place[s] for events/Rites, and Fealtant work when/if the Fealtant numbers are low enough to warrant it. Dedicants may participate in Rite after their Dedication and Initiation Rites have been performed.

  • Novication

    • Novice-level "1"

A Novice is one who has achieved the First Level of Initiation into DragonFyre Weyr™ by hard work and dedication. A Novice has completed his/her Year and a Day of study and service to the Weyr™, and is busy learning the set Noviciate curriculum. Novices are expected to participate in Rite, unless other capacities within the Weyr™ preclude this.

  • Partisanation

    • Partisan-level "2"

The Partisan has completed study in two [or more] Traditions, has demonstrated a higher understanding of the Mysteries, and has written AND conducted at least one Rite. The Partisan seeks to learn more Traditions [and yes, even more Paths], and reads as constantly as possible.

  • Mavenation

    • Maven-level "3"

The Maven is preparing to become a High Priest/ess. The Maven conducts Rite on a semi- regular basis, can aptly demonstrate the finer Arts, and has Mastered three different Traditions. Mavens within the Weyr™ are responsible for the overseeing of Novices and Fealtants in the setting up, supplying, and taking down of event/Rite areas, when they are not responsible for conducting the Rite, themselves.

  • Punditation

    • Pundit-Priest/ess Level "1"

This is the first of the Levels of Priest/ess. The Pundit conducts Full Moon Rites on a regular basis. The Pundit is Master/Mistress of Five Traditions, and conducts Rite[s] from those Traditions, equally. He/She is responsible for the overseeing of Novices and Fealtants in the setting up, supplying, and taking down of event/Rite areas, when the Maven is conducting the Rite. Should there be no Maven at the time, the responsibility falls UP the chain, rather than down.

  • Sagation

    • Sage/Mage-Priest/ess Level "2"

This is for Female/Male, respectively. This is the second [and last] Level of Priest/ess. The S/Mage has studied for years the different paths, pantheons, traditions, and ways of the Ancient Mysteries, and has a full understanding of those Craft techniques and systems. S/Mage is excused from Imbolg, Litha, and Mabon, & 7 of the 13 Full Moon Rites should she/he wish. The S/Mage has shown incredible dedication to the Craft, and to the Weyr™, and deserves a much-needed and well-earned break. The S/Mage IS responsible for conducting classes and Personal Rites for petitioners in preparation for leading their own Weyr™.

  • Arcanation

    • Arcanite-Priest/ess Level "3"

This is the Level of High Priest/ess with DragonFyre Weyr™. Congratulations! You may now form your own Hival Weyr™, or you may remain with us until you feel comfortable assuming that role. You may also remain with us indefinitely [provided Covenants are kept, of course], if you are not seeking [or interested in] a leadership role.

  • Cynosure

    • Cynocite/Magus-level "None"

Again, this represents Female and Male, respectively. This is a Level of Enlightenment. At this point, the Magick User should be performing High Magick at will; and should involve physical manifestation on a regular and reliable basis. This is an honorary title which is seldom bestowed, as it takes a lifetime to earn.
